COMINELLA ALFREDENSIS, new species.

Shell fusiform, flesh-colored, variously mottled and dashed with
brown. Nuclear whorls decollated. Post-nuclear whorls having
a sloping shoulder which extends over the posterior three-fifths of
the whorls between the sutures, marked by weak axial ribs, which
are best developed at the anterior edge of the shoulder and extend
but feebly across it; anteriorly the ribs become much enfeebled,
