The ovicell is recumbent. The budding is double; terminal and<br />
superficial. The zooecia are more or less erect and cumulate.<br />
Genus SCHISMOPORA MacGillivray, 1888.<br />

The ovicell is perforated. The frontal is smooth. The apertura<br />
bears a proximal rimule. No spines.<br />
Genotypes.—Schismopora {Cellepom) coronopus S. Wood, 1850,<br />
and Schismopora {CelUpora) purmcosa Busk, 1854.<br />
Range.—Jacksonian-Recent.<br />
Three new species of Schismopora occur in the Jacksonian of the<br />
Southern <strong>States</strong>.<br />
Genus OSTHIMOSIA JuUien, 1888.<br />

The ovicell is not perforated. The frontal is surrounded by areolae.<br />
The apertura bears a proximal rimule. There are no spines.<br />
Selected genotype.—Osthimosia {Cellepora) eationensis Busk, 1884.<br />
Range.—Jacksonian-Recent.<br />
Jullien's genotype was Osthimosia evexa Jullien, 1888.<br />
Osthimosia {Reptocelleporina) glomerata Gabb and Horn, 1862,<br />
from the Jacksonian and Vicksburgian, is the only American representative<br />
of this genus known.<br />

The ovicell at the side of the peristome has a flat area and pores<br />
around the border. (Waters.)<br />

con labbro calloso; grandi aviculari scafoidi sono sparsi fra i zoeci.<br />
