Established in 1931, Berkeley College
is a coeducational college specializing
in business. With eight locations in
New York and New Jersey, USA,
an online “campus,” and students
from over 100 countries, Berkeley is

system, which means that we have
classes starting four times a year every
September, January, April, and July.

The University of Georgia (UGA) is a
public research university located in
Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1785, it
is one of several schools to claim the
title of the oldest public university in
the United States. As one of the top 25
public universities in the nation, UGA
offers a culture of academic excellence
and opportunity, made all the richer
by our diverse community and vibrant
student life program. UGA offers 79
degree programs in a wide range of
disciplines and enrolls about 26,000
undergraduate and about 9,000
graduate students from the United
States and around the world every
year.
The University of Georgia welcomed
over 4,900 new first year students to
its campus this August. They bring a
strong academic profile with the middle
50% of these students having between
a 3.6 and 4.0 GPA. Nearly 70 students
came from high schools outside the
United States – an increase of more
than 65% from 2011. More than 27
percent of the entering freshmen
identify as other than Caucasian and
7 percent come from homes where
English is not the native language. The
University is expecting to enroll 560
students—the highest number in its
history—in UGA’s nationally recognized
Honors Program. These academically
accomplished students have a GPA
range of 3.96-4.11 and an ACT range
of 31-33.
UGA Athletics
UGA has also had a banner year in
athletics with strong participation in the
London Olympic Games.
“If it were its own country, the University
of Georgia would have entered today’s
final day of Olympic competition tied
for 26th in the overall medal count, and
its four golds are better than all but 28
of the 204 countries represented at

Swimmer Allison Schmitt led the way,
earning five medals in five events,
including three golds, to become the
most-decorated Georgian swimming
Olympian of all time.
