From that type of ocean came out of the moon, who is said to<br />
be the presiding deity of effulgence and herbs. (9)<br />
Then came out the ‘Kamadhenu’ (celestial cow) the best of<br />
all the cows who grants the wish of every one. She had the<br />
hue of the moon. (10)<br />
Then the presiding deity of the all the horses, ‘Ucchaishravas;<br />
a white horse and ‘Airavata’, the Lord of elephants with four<br />
tusks resembling the moonlight emerged. (11)<br />
Then emerged the celestial tree ‘Parijata’, king of the trees,<br />
and the best among the gems by name ‘Kaustubha’ having<br />
the hue of ‘pushyaraga’ a type of gem. (12)<br />

Then came out the heavenly nymphs, repositories of beauty<br />
and lustre. Then emerged ‘Suradevi’, who intoxicates everybody.<br />
Then there was the bow ‘Sharnga’ the divine bow<br />
among the weapons; similarly there came out the ‘panchajanya’<br />
a conch which is the Lord of all the conches. (13-14)<br />
Then, at that place, the moon, the ‘Parijata’ and the group of<br />
nymphs stood immediately in the path of the sun. (15)<br />
The leaders of the demons immediately took over Suradevi<br />
and the king of the horses. Being permitted by Lord Hari,<br />
Indra took over the Airavata. (16)<br />
The bow named Sharnga, and conch named Panchajanya went<br />
to Vishnu. All of them gave away the celestial cow to the<br />
ascetics. (17)
