DEFINITIONS<br />
ACCESSIBLE - Having access to but which first may require the<br />
removal of an access panel, door or similar obstruction covering<br />
the item described.<br />
AIR MIXER - That portion of an injection (Bunsen) type burner<br />
into which the primary air is introduced.<br />
AIR SHUTTER - An adjustable device <strong>for</strong> varying the size of the<br />
primary air inlet or inlets.<br />
AMBIENT TEMPERATURE - The surrounding or encompassing<br />
temperature.<br />
A.G.A. - American <strong>Gas</strong> Association<br />
APPLIANCE - A gas appliance is any device which utilizes gas<br />
fuel to produce heat, power or light.<br />
APPLIANCE FUEL CONNECTOR - An assembly of listed <strong>and</strong><br />
approved semi-rigid or flexible tubing <strong>and</strong> fittings to carry fuel<br />
between a fuel piping outlet <strong>and</strong> a fuel burning appliance.<br />
APPROVED - As to materials, workmanship, <strong>and</strong> type of<br />
construction, means approved by the Administrative Authority as<br />
the result of investigation, inspection, or test conducted by a<br />
recognized testing agency or authority.<br />
AUTOMATIC IGNITION - Automatic ignition shall be interpreted<br />
as means which provide <strong>for</strong> ignition of the gas at a burner when<br />
the gas burner valve controlling the gas to that burner is turned on,<br />
<strong>and</strong> will affect re-ignition if the flames of the gas to that burner<br />
have been extinguished by means other than closing the gas burner<br />
valve.<br />
