3. SERVICE CONNECTIONS: All house piping should be<br />

extended to a point 14 inches on the right-h<strong>and</strong> side of the<br />

location provided <strong>for</strong> the gas service line <strong>and</strong> 30 inches above<br />

ground level. For multiple meter installations where two or<br />

more house lines terminate at a multiple meter set, they should<br />

be spaced not less than 10 inches nor more than 12 inches apart<br />

<strong>for</strong> each additional meter location <strong>and</strong> the fuel lines should<br />

extend 3 inches through the foundation. (See Figure 1, Page 27<br />

<strong>and</strong> Figure 2, Page 28)<br />

<strong>Gas</strong> piping at multiple meter installations shall be plainly marked<br />

by a metal tag or other permanent means attached to the pipe<br />

by the installing agency, designating the building or the part of<br />

the building being supplied. Apartments should be permanently<br />

<strong>and</strong> clearly marked be<strong>for</strong>e meters will be set.<br />
