Unlikely to be a good square. Derrymore Strand has little interest and the northern slopes of Slieve Mish are bog. The
churchyard at Church Hill looked good but had little. Fenit was not visited and Fenit House itself may be interesting. The
southern end of Banna Strand or the golf course may be the best sites.
This long beach has virtually no waxcap interest. The width of the dunes is tiny as the intensive fields or saltmarsh
back right onto the other side of the single line of dunes leaving no room for waxcaps.
Banna Strand is such a large area of dunes, there will be more species but not many given the restricted fungal biodiversity
on most Irish dunes.
