<strong>Waxcap</strong>s were only found in <strong>the</strong> scattered grassland patches on <strong>the</strong> summit of <strong>the</strong> hill by <strong>the</strong> beacon , Eask Tower.<br />
Below this, <strong>the</strong> fields were improved and were not of interest. There is only a small strip of natural grassland along<br />
<strong>the</strong> cliff edges on <strong>the</strong> south side of this headland.<br />

Not so much land in this square. Small patches of grassland on <strong>the</strong> eastern part of Doonties Common were searched with<br />
little success. The o<strong>the</strong>r headlands in <strong>the</strong> square are also unlikely to be good. There are a couple of fields on <strong>the</strong> western<br />
end of Cnoc na nAcrai at V562993 that would be worth looking at.<br />

Inch Dunes is a gigantic dune system with large areas of good mossy dune slacks and grassland and this is well worth<br />
ano<strong>the</strong>r long visit. Irish dunes are often not species rich in terms of fungi but this could be one of <strong>the</strong> exceptions.<br />
