Council meetings. Youth Council members will be sworn into Council and receive certificates to<br />
acknowledge this partnership Friday 19th August. Youth having hands on input into the<br />
developmentoftheStGeorgeSkateparkbyparticipatinginGraffitiartworkshopattheskatepark<br />
thusgivingownership/pride.ThiswasalsoinpartnershipwiththeStGeorgepolice.<br />

26 active members for Youth Council, very diverse group from all 3 schools. This is a very<br />
positive attribute to the group because there are a lot of different social & economical<br />
backgroundsworkingtogetherforpositivecommunityengagement.<br />
linkingwithRomayouthbyattendingRomaYouthFestival<br />
assisting with artwork at skate park which has given a sense of pride/ownership to youth.<br />
Positiveoutcomeforthisprojectisnoothergraffitiisvisibleorattempted.<br />
holidayactivitiesforlowincomefamiliestriptoGoondiwindi(cinema's&lunchprovided)<br />
Facilitation of Talent show for Naidoc. Enabled youth to tap into self esteem, community<br />
engagement,senseofselfworth/culturalpride&participation.<br />

Week,Youthcouncil meetings,attendancenumbersfordisco's, laserskirmish etc.thesestatistics<br />
will ensure that all future workshops and activities are relevant to the community. We have<br />
observeddisputes betweenyoungpeoplefilterintocommunity&hasanegativeimpactonthe<br />
dynamicsofcommunityliving.<br />
