Residents say<br />

they feel safer<br />

on their estate<br />

Customers have told The <strong>Gateshead</strong> <strong>Housing</strong> <strong>Company</strong> that<br />

they feel safer on their estate compared with last year.<br />

How the housing company and its partners are tackling<br />

antisocial behaviour, as well as how some residents had<br />

experienced such behaviour, also scored well in a recent<br />

survey to 5,000 tenants and leaseholders picked at random.<br />

Satisfaction with the appearance of estates and<br />

neighbourhoods also remained high amongst the 645<br />

returned questionnaires, dropping due to increased pressure<br />

on resources and budgets across the borough.<br />

Grass cutting, street cleaning and dog fouling came out as<br />

customers’ top priorities as the company looks to work with<br />

<strong>Gateshead</strong> Council to review its service level agreement for<br />

estates in 2013/14.<br />
