*** Rare. Not in British Library. ESTC lists only one copy (Nat.
Lib. Scotland). At the time of this charge Wren was Bishop of Ely.
His support of the royalist Archbishop Laud and his toughness on
the puritans led to his imprisonment by the Parliamentarians from
1641-1659. He was uncle to the architect Christopher Wren.

S6240B], for Austin Rice [&c.], 1656-1653 b o u n d W i t h a defective
copy of Swan’s Speculum Muni, later reversed calf, joints splitting,
but holding firm, rubbed, small 4to sold not subject to return.
