Methodology
Surface Preparation
Thorough surface preparation is a must over
the entire roof area
Screed in concrete in M 20 modified with
Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+ must be laid with
a slope of 1 in 100, with at least 50 mm
thickness at the drain outlet. Screed must be
cured and dried completely.
Priming
Prime the surface with Dr. Fixit Torchshield
Primer. Allow it to dry for 8 to 10 hrs.
Application
Start the application of a first layer of Dr. Fixit
Torchshield AP 4160 (plain finish APP based)
The application must start from the outlet,
going towards the centre of the roof area.
System Life
Expectancy
of 10 years
This 1st layer is laid, up to over the angle
fillet only.
The 2nd layer of Dr. Fixit Torchshield AM 4160
must laid in a perpendicular direction to the
1st membrane, starting from 150 to 200 mm
on the parapet wall, downward and covering
the angle fillet. This is a mineral finished APP
based membrane 4 mm thick.
The surface area of Dr. Fixit Torchshield AM
4160 has mineral slate on the surface and it
can be left exposed it should be terminated at
a height of 20 cm.
The top edge of the membrane will be finished
with 2 mm thick aluminium flashing pointed
with Dr. Fixit Pidiseal PS 42P.

Methodology
Surface Preparation
The surface shall be cleaned thoroughly
of all contaminants like dust, traces of
curing compound, oil and grease. All surface
imperfections, protrusions, structurally
unsound and loose concrete must be removed
and repaired with polymer modified mortar
using Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.
Make angle fillets all around the periphery
of the terrace with a cement – sand mortar
admixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP.
Priming
Apply Dr. Fixit Solyseal diluted with water in
1:1 proportion as primer to clean, smooth and
surface by brush or roller in saturated surface
dry condition and allow it to dry completely.

Highly elastomeric waterproofing

Application
Apply the 1st coat of Dr. Fixit Solyseal without
any dilution and allow it to dry completely.
Start the 2nd coat of Dr. Fixit Solyseal, with a
roller or a rubber squeegee & allow it to dry.
Place loosely laid geotextile fabric of 300
to 500 gsm over the Dr. Fixit Solyseal for
protection.
Carefully lay brickbat coba to provide slope
1:100 for effective drainage of water.
