12 Message Delivery Component
The Message Delivery Component (MDC) interfaces with the gateway service to send a One
Time Password to a User’s mobile phone. The MDC acts as a service, accepting messages from
the IAS server, which are then forwarded to a text message gateway via the HTTP/HTTPS
protocol.
Since every gateway uses different submission parameters, a set of configuration values is
required, which can be administered by the MDC Configuration GUI.
The MDC service can be started and stopped through the Windows Service Manager Console.
12.1 Configuration
To configure gateway settings you will need:
Gateway details OR a customized configuration file ordered from your VASCO supplier.
This will need to be imported using the Configuration GUI.
If you will not be using a configuration file, these details are required:
Protocol to use in connecting to the gateway.
An address string and port to use in connecting to the gateway.
The path and filename of a certificate file, if required.
The required Query String.
The Query Method (GET or POST) required by the gateway.
Username and password for the gateway account.
