<strong>Weber</strong> <strong>Shandwick</strong> was awarded two Diversity Distinction<br />
in PR honors from the Council of Public Relations Firms and<br />
PRWeek. The Diversity Distinction in PR awards recognize<br />
best practices and leadership in promoting ethnic diversity<br />
within the PR sector.<br />
Our winning programs included:<br />
Best Diversity Initiative – Recruiting & Retaining Diverse Talent: We earned top marks in this category that honors<br />
programs to improve ethnic diversity so it permeates the entire agency. Our firm was cited for delivering live,<br />
customized diversity and inclusion training in multiple U.S. offices.<br />
Best Community Initiative for PR Agencies: This honor was for the high school mentoring program, The Social<br />
Circle. We teamed with Big Brothers Big Sisters Detroit to teach social media skills to students and to present PR<br />
as a potential career path.<br />
Judith Harrison, senior vice president, Staffing and Diversity & Inclusion, was awarded the 2011 STAR Award from<br />
New York Women’s Agenda for her leadership in diversity efforts at <strong>Weber</strong> <strong>Shandwick</strong>. She was also named as one<br />
of Savoy’s 2012 Top Influential Women of <strong>Corporate</strong> America.<br />
