8 MASTER BUILDER is a hunch play that I’m going to use to kick off the early pick 4 wager. The pool guarantee for that option is now at $75,000.
Zeron beat them all in February with this trotters but that’s it as far as success goes for him. He’s a very risky option. Use some back up options if
you are going to consider.
3 DOLCE DUCCI was good again last time when Moreau and Filion combined to put him back into winning form after two not very good results. He
might come back to show us another good performance or we might see another downturn in his production. The guess might be easier to make on
race night when observations at that time can be added to the past performance information.
1 FAMOUS MARK has a new owner/trainer team. They’ll be looking to make a quick recovery of some of the investment made via the claiming
route. Like some of the others in the line up he hasn’t been overly consistent over the long term. Right now he offers two in a row good results to
consider.
10 MONARCH SEELSTER has a reasonable chance to finish in the top three if Zeron gives him a suitable drive and has the opportunity to advance
when he needs to do so. Last tie the price was in the 5-2 range and that would make him a “not worth the risk” item if was repeated but that is not
expected.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
(2) REMSHAG JULIAN offers good current results from races against Flamboro competition. I’m going to watch to see how he makes out with the
move to Woodbine in effect.
(4) LEONIDAS DE VIE looks to have only a small chance of producing major success again. Hopefully sometime soon he will start to pick it up for
his owner/trainer team.
(5) MOPEY COREY wasn’t beaten all that much last time. He was only two lengths behind the winner. I could only give him status as an upset
prospect.
(6) RATE EXCHANGE has won twice since February 22. That compares well with any of his nine rivals. The break that he made last time was out
of character. I’m going to pass.
(7) HI EDITH hasn’t been as dominant this year as she has during portions of her career. With only a single finish in the top three to offer she did
look too risky for my liking.
(9) WILD WIND has the tough task of beating post 9 to accomplish tonight. I wouldn’t want to say that he cannot do that to produce a better than
predicted result but I preferred others for the highest ratings.
