RACE 10 SCRATCH TIME CHANGES
Addys Way, J. Jamieson to S. Zeron
Race 10 Selections by K.B.M. THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
1 MACH A WISH dropped and popped in her latest effort en route to nabbing an impressive victory in 1:52.4 for trainer Tony O’Sullivan, who
watched the mare fail to the winner’s circle in her first nine starts of the season. She moves back up the class ladder in her quest for a round trip to
victory lane, and I’m confident she can handle the jump. She’s a talented distaffer who has the tools needed to handle this group.
3 BAROCKEY got off to a great start to the season before hitting some bumps in the road and getting derailed. Trainer Carmen Auciello has
watched the mare right the ship in recent weeks, however, and she appears to be all systems ‘go’ once again. Speed is her best weapon, and she
can carry that speed a long way when she’s on her game. Look for her to be forwardly placed in here. She can turn the tables on my top pick.
4 SWINGING BEAUTY wintered in Florida for trainer Gregg McNair, who gave her a pair of qualifying preps prior to unleashing her on some of
Pompano Park’s finest female pacers on Mar. 31. She was a convincing winner that night in first-over fashion, and since then she’s made her way
back to McNair’s Ontario base. She’s missed nearly three weeks of racing since making the ship. I still think she can make her presence felt.
6 OCEANVIEW BINDI had some tough luck in the month of March, but it looks as though she’s managed to regroup and get things sorted out since
then. The daughter of Hunterstown enjoyed back-to-back second-place finishes before heading into her most recent outing. She spotted the
leaders too many lengths in that contest, and as a result the best she could do was rally for a fourth-place finish. She can share once again.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
Race 10: Driver/Trainer Combination
1 Ri Zeron T Osullivan 159 21% $1.93
2 J Jamieson J Gillis 297 19% $1.21
3 B Davis Jr C Auciello 40 25% $1.69
4 D Mcnair R Mcnair 212 12% $1.42
5 S Zeron R Allard 15 20% $1.72
6 K Oliver G Plyley 15 26% $1.28
7 S Filion R Moreau 561 18% $1.49
9 C Christoforou K Goodwin 4 0% $0.00
(2) DELICIOUSLYNAUGHTY has grabbed the runner-up award in four of her last six starts, but winning races he been a challenge for the daughter
of Mach Three. She totes a 1-for-13 seasonal record into this tilt. She hooks a tougher group than she’s faced in recent weeks.
(5) ADDYS WAY bit off more than she could chew in her latest outing, and that put an end to an impressive string of top-two finishes for the
daughter of Camluck. Trainer Rene Allard’s barn has cooled off a bit this month at Woodbine as noted in the 3-for-23 (13%) record.
(7) D GS TINKERBELL hustled her way into the two-hole last week and wound up being treated to a pocket trip behind the speedy Barockey. She
couldn’t catch that foe in the lane, but she did hold on for the runner-up award. She’ll have to be extra sharp to be a factor in this spot.
(8) VOELZ HANOVER debuts for trainer Corey Johnson, who has recently taken over a number of horses for owner Richard Berthiaume. They
clicked for a win on Saturday night with Upfront Hoosierboy, and this gal has more than enough back class needed to handle this group.
(9) DIDRICKSON filed to the back of the field from a tough post in her latest and she was a non-factor right from the word ‘go’. She has another
challenging post position to deal with tonight. Chris Christoforou will likely need a different approach in order to grab a paycheque.
