General Chemistry, including Chemical Physics.—Two lectures per<br />

Physiology.—Three lectures per week.<br />

General Pathology.—One lecture per week.<br />

Medical History, Terminology, Ethics, etc.—One lecture per week.<br />

Physical Diagnosis.—One lecture per week.<br />

General Symptomatology <strong>and</strong> Diagnosis.—One lecture per week.<br />

B<strong>and</strong>aging.—One lecture per week, one hour practice until December<br />

General Clinics.—Medical <strong>and</strong> Surgical.<br />

Final examinations at the end <strong>of</strong> the course : General Chemistry,<br />

Elementary Anatomy with especial reference to Histology <strong>and</strong><br />

Osteology, Materia Medica <strong>and</strong> Pharmacy, Elements <strong>of</strong> General<br />

Pathology <strong>and</strong> Physical Diagnosis.<br />

SECOND YEAR.<br />

Anatomy.—Three lectures per week, ten hours evening dissection.<br />

Applied Anatomy.—Two lectures per week.<br />

Medical Chemistry.—One lecture per week, three hours laboratory.<br />

Physiology.—Three lectures per week.<br />

General Pathology <strong>and</strong> Morbid Anatomy.—Two lectures per week,<br />

one <strong>and</strong> a half hours laboratory.<br />

Physical Diagnosis.—One hour per week demonstration.<br />

Therapeutics.—Two lectures per week.<br />

Surgery.—Three lectures per week.<br />

Obstetrics.—Two lectures per week.<br />

General Clinics, Medical <strong>and</strong> Surgical, including Philadelphia <strong>and</strong><br />

Pennsylvania Hospital Clinics.<br />

Special Clinics.—(Nervous Diseases, Gynaecology, Diseases <strong>of</strong> Skin,<br />

Eye, Ear, alternating with Physical Diagnosis <strong>and</strong> Pathological<br />

Histology.)<br />

1 In the distribution <strong>of</strong> anatomical material at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the session,<br />

students <strong>of</strong> the second year are first supplied, <strong>and</strong> students <strong>of</strong> the First-year may not<br />

receive material until about December 1.
