departments, and historical and cultural societies.<br />

Programme P ogramme<br />
This series features occasional lectures, conferences,<br />
debates and roundtable discussions on military history,<br />
current events and museum studies. Over the past year,<br />
speakers have included eminent historians, a British<br />
veteran <strong>of</strong> the Second World War, university pr<strong>of</strong>essors,<br />
authors and others.<br />

E ents at at Vimy Vimy Vimy HH<br />
House HH<br />
ouse<br />
Vimy House is the <strong>Canadian</strong> War <strong>Museum</strong>’s <strong>of</strong>fsite storage<br />
facility. Home to archives, weaponry, uniforms, medals,<br />
and vehicle and war art collections that are among the<br />
finest in the world, Vimy House is open to the public on<br />
weekends throughout the winter and daily in the summer<br />
season, and frequently hosts special groups.<br />
This past year, special events at Vimy House have<br />
included, among others:<br />
• A guided tour <strong>of</strong> the Military Technology Gallery<br />
(with special emphasis on the vehicle collection) for<br />
members <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Canadian</strong> Electrical and<br />
Mechanical Engineers Association, and the Society<br />
<strong>of</strong> Automotive Engineers.<br />
• A formal dinner and tour for ex-cadets from the<br />
Royal Military College.<br />
• A special lunch and tour for 40 members <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Ottawa Service Attachés Association, which<br />
represents all foreign liaison and defence staff from<br />
various NATO and non-NATO countries.<br />
• The Enigma Programme, featuring the Second<br />
World War Enigma cypher machine, emphasizing<br />
its history, cypher computations, as well as themes<br />
such as communications equipment and security<br />
issues.<br />
