9. Deferred contributions
Deferred contributions represent unspent externally restricted donations and related investment income.

10. Deferred capital funding
Deferred capital funding represents the unamortized portion of parliamentary appropriations used to purchase
depreciable capital assets.

11. Internally restricted equity of Canada
The Corporation has committed an amount of $7,000,000 towards the construction of a new Canadian War
Museum. As of March 31, 2000 the Corporation has internally restricted $5,000,000 of equity towards this goal.
