4.8 (h) Study of ergonomic and environment factors in MSME premise.
The tools which are required for the production of bamboo goods should be ergonomically designed
according to the workstation. Due to some problems like insufficient lighting arrangement, less tools,
insufficient space the workers face lots of problems & due to this there is low production.
In the pictures below different problems are shown. In the 1 st picture its shown that in the house there is no
veranda for working and they also have to face difficulties of electricity. If there is a veranda in the house then
the workers can carry out there work in the house itself. In the 2 nd picture there is a veranda in the house but
it is not suitable to work in it as it is not made properly. The veranda should be properly made with cement
instead of mud so that the workers could comfortably work there. In the 3 rd picture a worker is shown in
working condition. The worker holds the bamboo stick in between the fingers of his feet due to lack of holder.
While working the body posture must be correct. The worker must use proper tools while working , use of
improper tools may cause accident. While working the waste release by the bamboo and the dust may cause
internal disease and health problems. To avoid such problems they must use a safety mask & use safety kits.
