PostScript, the original PostScript fonts can be used (providing your PostScript printer is equipped<br />

with these fonts available).<br />

They can be specified by the fontname attribute for summary nodes (p. 72), ordinary nodes (p. 94),<br />

and edge labels (p. 102). The string value of this attribute is the font file name of the font to be<br />

used. The font file name is composed of the file name base and size:<br />

The available font sizes are: 8, 10, 12, 14, 18 and 24 points. For example, a size 12 Times Roman<br />

font is specified via fontname: "timR12".<br />

The search path for the aiSee font files can be specified by the environment variable AISEEFONTS.<br />

5.11.3 Compatibility with SVG<br />

We highly recommend using the bitmap fonts when exporting graphs to SVG format. The standard<br />

vector font is translated into elements, whereas the bitmap fonts are translated into<br />

. SVG treats as text rather than outlines, enabling the user to search SVG images<br />

for node labels by using the Find dialog in the SVG viewer. Also, when bitmap fonts are used, the<br />

output SVG file is much smaller and loads much faster.<br />

An iconfile specification is translated into an element. The element indicates<br />

to the SVG viewer used that the contents of the icon file specified are to be rendered into a given<br />
