7 EVENING JOB has a chance to score for a hat trick tonight in his second try for the current owner/trainer team. It only takes another aggressive
drive from MacDonell to give him a chance at earning his seventh win of the year. At this price he should be able to keep the ball rolling. The one
below has me thinking upset. I’d have to use him in that role and this pacer with maybe one more pick 4 option.
8 SHELBYS COBRA missed a schedule start on April 19 and now has a gap in his schedule. Some handicappers are going to take a pass and wait
for next time but I’ll suggest that you consider for an upset play in any of the wagers that are on the menu for race 6. His trainer has surprised more
than once in the past. I don’t mind the Christoforou factor.
1 ROCK OF LUCK was gung ho to go last time when he fired up to win as he pleased when competing at a slightly lower level. He might handle the
class rise without any major difficulty. Allard switched to Drury two back and will that team intact after the last race score. Note the post 10 position
in his previous race.
4 SHIFTIN GEARTOGEAR has been hinting with improved performances that a win might show up sometime soon. Auciello can be tricky at times
and I try to always give his racers some consideration even if the current form is not very appealing. He can race up close. That style works well at
this track in most races.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
(2) DARK PRINCE is on my list of longshots to play. I keep thinking that one night he is going to get the best of everything and use that advantage
to pull off a surprise victory. A small wager in the win position will be considered.
(3) WINDSUN THUNDER failed to win a race last year. He has the same status this term after five tries. That record doesn’t do much to boost the
confidence.
(5) INTENDED STYLE has had some minor success this year. He looks like an upset candidate at best and was rated that way with a spot in the
bottom group.
(6) PRINCE OF PLEASURE gets to race form one of the more favourable positions tonight. If he can produce a best performance he might sneak
into the top three or four.
(9) GLIN CREEK had second best status last time when he outperformed his longshot odds and the expectations of most handicappers. With the
same racing luck tonight he would have a chance to beat this rating.
(10) COUNTYLINE CAM has a three win record for the year. Since moving to Woodbine he has one good result and two that were on the edges. I
didn’t care for post 10.
