1 MAJESTIC MYSTIC has two recent failure that will have to be forgiven if you are going to consider him as one of the contender. He’s had only
one recent opportunity to compete in the nw2 category and was a winner that night as the race favourite. I’ll give him a slight preference to kick off
the late pick 4 wager. Back ups have to be considered.
6 HERO OF MY DREAMS had top three status in six of his 17 starts last year when he competed against O.S.S. grass roots types for the most part.
The comeback try on April 26 was a near miss. He raced like a meant to win item that night but his backers had to settle for second spot when he
was in the 14-1 range.
5 STRAWBERRY WINE failed in his try for three in a row and I’m not convinced that he will pick the ball up to regain winning form as soon as
tonight but it could happen that way. MacDonell gets to start from a favourable position. That shouldn’t hurt his chances. He’s my choice for the
third or fourth spot.
7 STORMONT FRIED would be my longshot choice if the decision on race night was to use that strategy. I might consider that option if only on a
secondary ticket. Saftic is not a poor choice when considering an upset play. He’s been known to produce that type of result in the past. Give her a
look.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
(2) LA BELLA CONTESSA was far back in her latest when a break took her out of competition. She’s another longshot option that might be worth
looking at.
(3) VALDABRO was passed over when I was selecting my group of top four candidates. That decision might backfire but I am going to play it that
way.
(4) JOYFUL ROAD comes back to try again at Woodbine with this 4 year old mare. She had a second best result at this track a while back. The
last one at Woodbine didn’t work so well.
(8) ADREAMCOMESTRUE AS has been suck with three wins since early March. I can’t predict with confidence that she will end that losing streak
as soon as tonight.
(9) SIX BAX has a similar profile as my top selection. Both have poor results in recent races in higher categories. He too was a winner n his last
start in a nw2 contest.
(10) SOUL OF MY SOUL used the often seen go to the back approach last time when post 10 was part of his profile. He has the same handicap
tonight. He’s not for me.
