RACE 9 SCRATCH TIME CHANGES
Gracie Montana, B Davis Jr. to S. Zeron
Addys Way, J. Jamieson to J. Drury
9th Race Selections by K.C.M. THE HORSEPLAYERS JOURNAL
5 HOPE FOR PADDY has second start status tonight and a class dropping profile. I thought she looked like a good enough option to consider in leg
2 of the late pick 4 wager but wouldn’t want to go without one or two back ups. Her trainer certainly hasn’t been setting the world on fire this year.
Can’t say she stands out but I’ll rate her number one.
1 RUB N TUG might be trying for the trip in the two slot. If that can be worked out her chances of finishing near the top of the order would be
improved. I can give her a chance to finish in the runner-up spot as one of my options for that position. Christoforou gets a second try with her
tonight. He’ll give her a good chance if he thinks he can/should win.
8 MEMUMSNOTNICE might step up with a better performance this time around after finishing fourth best last time. She raced tough in two winning
performance prior to that. Waples might have a better chance tonight with the slightly improved post position. Johnson can certainly help to
produce fast speed. Maybe?
4 ADDYS WAY lost the services of Jamieson. I didn’t make that development a major factor but others might choose to play along with the decision
of the driver. The replacement choice is suitable. I can give her the bottom spot in my group of top four choices. You never really know what to
expect when Allard is the trainer.
THE FOLLOWING LISTED IN POST POSITION ORDER
Race 9: Driver/Trainer Combination
Horse # Driver Trainer Starts Win % R.O.I.
1 C Christoforou Da Brown 7 0.14 $1.84
2 S Zeron B Davis 1 1 $20.40
3 S Filion R Fellows 96 0.14 $0.99
4 J Drury R Allard 9 0.11 $1.88
5 B Davis Jr S Robinson 82 0.06 $0.53
6 Ja Macdonald M Fine 11 0.54 $14.85
7 J Jamieson J Gillis 282 0.2 $1.25
8 Ra Waples C Johnson 82 0.3 $2.84
(2) GRACIE MONTANA beat them all last time at a lower level. She might make it three in a row if her share of racing luck is better than some of the
others.
(3) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT has to stick in the same classification as last time. She failed to make the grade that night as a longshot option. The
drive change might help—it might not.
(6) EXPRESS JET beat Nw3 rivals last time in upset fashion to give her supporters a 7-1 wagering dividend. It should be tougher for her this time.
That victory on April 26 does represent her fastest winning performance to date.
(7) DELICIOUSLY NAUGHTY had best results when competing a notch lower than this. Last week she beat all but the top two. It takes a trip
advantage to give her a chance at the upset.
