The legal predecessor of RLB NÖ-Wien was established on<br />
4 November 1898 as a cooperative bank under the name "Nö<br />
Genossenschafts-Centralcasse". Subsequently it was renamed<br />
several times.<br />
In 2001 a significant separation of the banking business (carried<br />
out by RLB NÖ-Wien) from the participation business (carried<br />
out by Raiffeisen-Holding NÖ-Wien) took place.<br />
The principle activities of RLB NÖ-Wien comprise all kind of<br />
banking business and ancillary business with the exception of<br />
the issuance of mortgage bonds and municipality mortgage<br />
bonds, the building savings business, the investment business,<br />
the real estate fund business, the pension fund business and the<br />
participation fund business.<br />
RLB NÖ-Wien is active as a regional bank in the East of Austria.<br />
The bank serves customers with cross-border business activities<br />
as a consultancy bank in the Centrope region (defined as<br />
Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland and the Czech Republic,
