Joan Parker neuhaus is senior vice president and
chief operating officer at Alegent Health. Joan was
recently featured in an Omaha World Herald article
about Omaha’s top female executives, sharing
their stories of success and their challenges in the
workplace and at home.
rose ann Shannon, and husband Phil Johnson
were inducted into the Omaha Press Club Hall of
Fame. Rose Ann has been the News Director at
KETV for 19 years.

Judith Falgout rhodes
earned her Ph.D. in Social
Work from Louisiana
State University in 2011.
Dr. Rhodes is Assistant
Professor of Research
at the LSU School of
Social Work. Her areas of
research include dropout
prevention, school
social work, and early
school intervention for
at-risk children. Judith has recently been appointed
as Director of Research and Development for the
American Council for School Social Work.

elizabeth green Crnkovich was
honored at the Women’s Center for
Advancement’s 25th Anniversary
Tribute to Women. Judge Crnkovich,
the only female juvenile court judge
in Douglas county, has dedicated
her life to helping Omaha’s youth
and their families. She is dedicated
to identifying problems early on and
creating individualized solutions for
the youth whose lives she impacts
every year.
Brigadier Cassie Strom was
recently promoted to Major
General, the highest ranking
JAG in the United States Air
Force.

kelly Parks Snider is an artist, author, activist
and publisher. Using art and words, she educates
communities, stimulates dialogue and creates
social change. She is the co-founder of Project Girl
(www.projectgirl.org), an award-winning nationally
recognized non-profit, and touring exhibition that
combines art, media literacy and youth-led activism
into a unique educational experience for children,
parents and educators. Project Girl was recently
featured in Family Circle Magazine and was an
awarded youth program in the new national youth
empowerment and philanthropy program called Best
Buy’s @15 Exchange project.

the relic Missionary
Image of Our Lady of
Guadalupe at their home

200 people gathered

Britteny Morrow Ferrin is the President and owner
of Morrow & Associates, a local human resource
consulting firm. Her primary focus is working with
police and fire departments to establish hiring
procedures for entry- and promotional command
positions. Britteny also serves as the Chief Negotiator
in labor relations and conducts comparability studies
for use in contract negotiations. She works closely
with department heads, elected officials and civil
service commissions.

kimberly Luhrs Burks is the owner of Paper Lovely,
a letterpress and design studio in Omaha that
specializes in personalized and custom designed
items, each inspired by Kimberly’s own illustrations.

denna Thomsen was one of the
dancers onstage p e r f o r m i n g
a l o n g s i d e Madonna during
the Super Bowl halftime show
in 2012. Denna graduated from
Colorado State University with
a BA in Liberal Arts. Upon
graduation, she moved to Los
Angeles, CA to pursue her dream
of dancing by joining Hysterica
Dance Company.
Sara Sabaliauskas is a candidate for the University of
Nebraska-Omaha Graduate Class representative. Sara
received her Master’s in Public Administration with a
concentration in Public Management.

Teresa Prince recently completed a meaningful
project called “Survivor Stories” - conversations with
men and women who are sexual assault survivors.
