Joan Parker neuhaus is senior vice president and<br />

chief operating officer at Alegent Health. Joan was<br />

recently featured in an Omaha World Herald article<br />

about Omaha’s top female executives, sharing<br />

their stories of success and their challenges in the<br />

workplace and at home.<br />

earned her Ph.D. in Social<br />

Work from Louisiana<br />

State University in 2011.<br />

Dr. Rhodes is Assistant<br />

Professor of Research<br />

at the LSU <strong>School</strong> of<br />

Social Work. Her areas of<br />

research include dropout<br />

prevention, school<br />

social work, and early<br />

school intervention for<br />

at-risk children. Judith has recently been appointed<br />

as Director of Research and Development for the<br />

American Council for <strong>School</strong> Social Work.<br />

elizabeth green Crnkovich was<br />

honored at the Women’s Center for<br />

Advancement’s 25th Anniversary<br />

Tribute to Women. Judge Crnkovich,<br />

the only female juvenile court judge<br />

in Douglas county, has dedicated<br />

her life to helping Omaha’s youth<br />

and their families. She is dedicated<br />

to identifying problems early on and<br />

creating individualized solutions for<br />

the youth whose lives she impacts<br />

every year.<br />

kelly Parks Snider is an artist, author, activist<br />

and publisher. Using art and words, she educates<br />

communities, stimulates dialogue and creates<br />

social change. She is the co-founder of Project Girl<br />

(www.projectgirl.org), an award-winning nationally<br />

recognized non-profit, and touring exhibition that<br />

combines art, media literacy and youth-led activism<br />

into a unique educational experience for children,<br />

parents and educators. Project Girl was recently<br />

featured in Family Circle <strong>Magazine</strong> and was an<br />

awarded youth program in the new national youth<br />

empowerment and philanthropy program called Best<br />

Buy’s @15 Exchange project.<br />

Britteny Morrow Ferrin is the President and owner<br />

of Morrow & Associates, a local human resource<br />

consulting firm. Her primary focus is working with<br />

police and fire departments to establish hiring<br />

procedures for entry- and promotional command<br />

positions. Britteny also serves as the Chief Negotiator<br />

in labor relations and conducts comparability studies<br />

for use in contract negotiations. She works closely<br />

with department heads, elected officials and civil<br />

service commissions.<br />

kimberly Luhrs Burks is the owner of Paper Lovely,<br />

a letterpress and design studio in Omaha that<br />

specializes in personalized and custom designed<br />

items, each inspired by Kimberly’s own illustrations.<br />

denna Thomsen was one of the<br />

dancers onstage p e r f o r m i n g<br />

a l o n g s i d e Madonna during<br />

the Super Bowl halftime show<br />

in 2012. Denna graduated from<br />

Colorado State University with<br />

a BA in Liberal Arts. Upon<br />

graduation, she moved to Los<br />

Angeles, CA to pursue her dream<br />

of dancing by joining Hysterica<br />

Dance Company.<br />

Sara Sabaliauskas is a candidate for the University of<br />

Nebraska-Omaha Graduate Class representative. Sara<br />

received her Master’s in Public Administration with a<br />

concentration in Public Management.<br />

Teresa Prince recently completed a meaningful<br />

project called “Survivor Stories” - conversations with<br />

men and women who are sexual assault survivors.<br />
