amanda Batter graduated from the University
of Kansas School of Pharmacy with a Doctor of
Pharmacy in May. Amanda is currently employed
with CVS Pharmacy.
2006
Michaela knoll has been an intern for 6 months
with a fashion editor at Shape magazine. She actually
modeled for a couple of segments for Shape magazine
on the Today Show and on local NYC TV. Michaela
recently graduated from UNL with her Master’s in
Textiles, Fashion Design and Merchandising, and will
be returning to NYC to pursue her career.

LaPointe & Tom
Watson, two separate
wig designers who
share a studio in NYC.
Katie builds and ventilates wigs and does makeup
design. These wigs are designed for Broadway, film
and TV, the Metropolitan Opera and store window
displays. This year, Katie was also Barbara Cook’s
hairstylist for “You Make Me Feel So Young” at
Feinstein’s. In 2012, she was a wig and makeup
apprentice at the Sante Fe Opera.
2007
erin Clark is completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts
at UNO, majoring in sculpture. While at UNO several
of her pieces were in the UNO student exhibit, one of
which won “best in show”. She will be enrolling in the
culinary arts program at Metro Community College
(MCC) this summer. Erin has also been active in
performing arts groups at Metro Community College
and the Great Plains Theatre Conference.
Julie kennison finished first year at Creighton
Medical School this May, before travelling to Ghana
with five other med students through Project Cura.
Julie and her classmates spent two weeks at Saboba
Hospital in Northern Ghana where they assisted in
baby vaccinations and observed numerous surgeries
in primitive hospital conditions.
2009
kim Patterson was paired with an 11-year-old
camper as a companion at Camp Quality Heartland.
They share the experience of being diagnosed with
leukemia at 4 and after going into remission having
a reoccurrence. Kim is currently cancer free and is
active in the Colleges Against Cancer and Relay for
Life programs. This fall, Kim will be a senior nursing
student at Rockhurst University and plans to become
a pediatric oncology nurse.
ariel Talacko appeared
in the Creighton
University musical
spoof Urinetown. Her
character, Hope,
delivered the show’s
most impressive singing
with her operaticsounding
soprano.
Caitlin Toohey spent her summer in Gracias,
Honduras, repairing medical equipment in a clinic.
She is currently a Biomedical Science major and
Spanish minor at Marquette University.

2010
Shantell Bell traveled to Africa in June for two
months to assist children in Niger.
Hailey konnath is the 2012 Nebraska Press
Women Memorial Scholarship Winner, and a
sophomore Journalism major at UNO. Hailey is the
news assignment editor for the Daily Nebraskan.
She has also been recognized as a Harold and
Marian Andersen Honors Scholar.

16, 2011 in Manuel
Antonio, Costa Rica.

Shannon is currently
employed as Dean
of Student Activities
& Leadership at St. Louis University School of Law.
Shannon and Devin are making their home in St.
Louis.
kerry Ter kuile married Mike Schmidt on
November 12, 2011 at St. Leo’s Catholic Church with
a reception at the Qwest Center. Stephanie Nahas
‘04 was a bridesmaid and Sarah Brown ‘04 served as
her personal attendant. Kerry and Mike are making
their home in Chicago, IL.
anne Borghoff married Patrick Burke on August
27, 2011 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a
reception at Happy Hollow Country Club followed.
Her maid of honor was her sister, kathleen
Borghoff ‘09; bridesmaids were Bailey rall ‘05
and andrea delisi ‘05. Anne and Patrick live in
Omaha, where Anne is employed with Aesthetic
Surgical Images as their Marketing Manager and
Patrick is a Business Manager for Union Pacific.

Erin and Matt are Iowa State graduates and are
currently living in Houston, TX and are employed
with Dow Chemical.

2011. Ellen is an audit manager with KPMG in

Britteny Morrow Ferrin ‘92, and husband Justin
announce with both joy and sorrow the birth
of identical twin daughters born on October 7,
2011. Avery Dawn died as a result of twin-to-twin
transfusion syndrome. Anna Cheryl joins big
brothers JJ (7) and Cale (5).
