Fortunately Photoshop gives you the option to
convert between freeform and boxed text, and
vice versa, by selecting Type > Convert to
Paragraph Text or Convert to Point Text, or right
clicking on the layer and selecting the same
options. For Photoshop CS5 these functions
are found in the Layer > Type > menu.
