After a brutal start, Chris Archer righted <strong>the</strong> ship in Double-A by going 7-4, 3.42 in his final 14 starts for<br />
Montgomery. He allowed just five homers, though his strikeout-to-walk ratio was a tenuous 70-to-51. In his first<br />
two starts for Triple-A Durham, Archer logged 13 innings while striking out 12 and allowing 11 hits, six walks and<br />
only one run.<br />

Cuban defector Leonys Martin batted .295/.362/.421 in 302 at-bats this season as he raced through <strong>the</strong> high<br />
minors. He collected 25 extra-base hits and 27 walks (against 38 strikeouts) in 73 <strong>game</strong>s, though his power<br />
evaporated with Triple-A Round Rock, where he slugged .314.<br />
Rangers purchased <strong>the</strong> contract <strong>of</strong> RHP Mark Hamburger from Triple-A Round Rock. Hamburger, who was<br />
originally acquired from <strong>the</strong> Twins in <strong>the</strong> Eddie Guardado deal in 2008, posted a 3.39 ERA (1.09 WHIP) and<br />
70/25 K/BB ratio over 82 1/3 innings this season between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. He'll pitch<br />
in a middle relief role. He was signed by Minnesota as a non-drafted free agent on June 19, 2007 out <strong>of</strong> Twins<br />
annual open tryout camp at <strong>the</strong> Metrodome.<br />
