Selected by the Padres in the 26th round of the 2007 Draft, Parrino, 25, is a .264/.368/.398 career hitter in the
minor leagues, but batted .315/.393/.511 with 12 homers, 56 RBI and a .905 OPS over 357 plate appearances
between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A Tucson this season. He'll mostly function as a backup at second
base and shortstop.

165/44 K/BB ratio in 142 1/3 minor league innings this season. He was selected by the Giants in the sixth round
of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft out of North Carolina State University.

After a brutal start, Chris Archer righted the ship in Double-A by going 7-4, 3.42 in his final 14 starts for
Montgomery. He allowed just five homers, though his strikeout-to-walk ratio was a tenuous 70-to-51. In his first
two starts for Triple-A Durham, Archer logged 13 innings while striking out 12 and allowing 11 hits, six walks and
only one run.

Cuban defector Leonys Martin batted .295/.362/.421 in 302 at-bats this season as he raced through the high
minors. He collected 25 extra-base hits and 27 walks (against 38 strikeouts) in 73 games, though his power
evaporated with Triple-A Round Rock, where he slugged .314.
Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Mark Hamburger from Triple-A Round Rock. Hamburger, who was
originally acquired from the Twins in the Eddie Guardado deal in 2008, posted a 3.39 ERA (1.09 WHIP) and
70/25 K/BB ratio over 82 1/3 innings this season between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. He'll pitch
in a middle relief role. He was signed by Minnesota as a non-drafted free agent on June 19, 2007 out of Twins
annual open tryout camp at the Metrodome.
