Triple-A slugger had become <strong>the</strong> first player to test positive for human growth hormone.<br />

While Ubaldo Jimenez ran up a 5.79 ERA in his first five starts for <strong>the</strong> Indians, Drew Pomeranz, <strong>the</strong> lead<br />

prospect acquired by Colorado, had an emergency appendectomy on Aug. 20. Pomeranz pitched seven strong<br />

innings (two hits, four whiffs, no walks) in his Rockies debut for Double-A Tulsa.
