The Braves purchased the contract OF Jose Constanza from Triple-A Gwinnett. The MiLBFA from the Indians in
2010 never played in MLB. The 27-year-old has a .290 career batting average in the minors and was batting
.312/.361/.351 with one home run and 23 stolen bases over 86 games at the Triple-A level this season.
Randall Delgado joins the Braves' other top pitching prospects—Julio Teheran, Mike Minor and Arodys
Vizcaino—with Triple-A Gwinnett, and given Atlanta's deep pitching staff, the foursome may play a larger role in
the International League pennant drive than the National League one. Gwinnett sits 1 1/2 games behind Durham
in the Southern Division.

and 1.43 WHIP in five minor league seasons. Ballard and fellow lefty Pedro Viola spent just one game (five total
hours) on the major league roster before getting demoted to Bowie, and neither saw action. Both pitchers will
likely be recalled by September 1, at the lastest.

The White Sox now employ two of general manager Kenny Williams' three sons after signing Tyler Williams,
whom the Diamondbacks released on July 26 after he went 2-for-24 in 10 games in the Arizona League. Arizona
had signed him as a nondrafted free agent from Pima (Ariz.) CC. The White Sox drafted Kenny Jr. in the sixth
round in ’08 (he plays for Double-A Birmingham) and Kyle in the 47th round in ’06 (he did not sign and forged a
career in the NFL).
