Competition Bullet<br />
Seaters for Handgun<br />
Cartridges<br />
These seaters have a precision fitting bullet<br />
seating stem which is spring loaded. As the<br />
bullet and case move up into the seater positive<br />
alignment is insured. The micrometer<br />
adjustment on the seating stem simplifies<br />
setting and recording bullet seating depth.<br />
The micrometer is calibrated in .001" increments,<br />
is infinitely adjustable, and has a<br />
“zero” set feature. This seater has no<br />
crimping features. Crimping should be<br />
done with a separate Redding “Profile<br />
Crimp” or “Taper Crimp” die. See crimp<br />
dies (below). The Competition seating<br />
die for handgun and straight wall cases is<br />
compatible with most progressive reloading<br />

Designed for handgun cartridges that headspace<br />
on the case mouth where conventional<br />
roll crimping is undesirable. Also available<br />
for some revolver cartridges for those who<br />
prefer the uniformity of a taper crimp. See<br />

Redding Profi le<br />
Crimp Dies<br />
These handgun cartridge crimp dies are<br />
designed for those who want the best possible<br />
crimp. Profile crimp dies provide a<br />
tighter, more uniform roll type crimp, and<br />
require the bullet to be seated to the correct<br />
depth in a previous operation. These<br />
dies are not for cartridges that headspace<br />
on the case mouth.<br />
