Overview
Cold fronts in the upper strata of the atmosphere will
bring unstable weather conditions this week, including
afternoon rainstorms, mainly in the northern and central
parts of the country. Winds in the Ionian Sea will
increase in speed, reaching over 4 Beaufort, and will
be blowing mostly from a northerly direction. Norther-

6 Beaufort and possibly up to 7 Beaufort at the beginning
of next week. Temperatures over the weekend
on mainland Greece will reach as high as 36 Celsius (97F),
though they will drop by 2 or 3 degrees as of Monday.
In eastern and southern Greece, northerly winds will
take the edge off high temperatures.
