In this outcrop (Fig. 44), the ‘Grès vosgien’ Fm is directly overlain by the ‘Couches intermédiaires’<br />

Fm (Fig. 45) which displays several pedogenic horiz<strong>on</strong>s ('violet z<strong>on</strong>es') like at the stop 3.7. The Hardegsen<br />

unc<strong>on</strong>formity, with a wide channel-like shape, can be observed between these two formati<strong>on</strong>s. A very<br />

different interpretati<strong>on</strong> (Fig. 46) was proposed by Bock et al. (2001).<br />
