My gratitude goes to all those who participated in the research. To the
accommodation hosts – I thank all for their time, and for giving me tremendous
insights into their daily lives and the challenges they face as small business
owners. To the older travellers – I must thank them particularly for reminding
me of the joy in spontaneous travel.
