Africa Ignite Permeate Free Cultivate Refresh Malawi Malawi Evangelism and Pastoral Training .............................42.30351 The church in Malawi is seeking to meet the needs of an impoverished nation. Funds enable pastors and church leaders to travel and encourage the church as well as to plant new churches. Christian literature is purchased to edify the believers. Currently, none of the pastors have received any theological and biblical training. This program intends to edify the church by giving pastors solid biblical and theological training. (Annual Goal $4,530) Malawi Ministry Center ...........................................42.30352 The church in Malawi needs to purchase land and build the national headquarters as well as the pastors’ training center. These buildings will include classrooms, kitchen and dining room, dormitory, and offices. (Annual goal $50,000. Total project need $200,000) Malawi Ministry Development . ....................................42.40340 The church is expanding, and as the ministry grows bicycles are needed for pastors to reach more people. Funds also support pastoral training as the church seeks to reach a nation struggling with poverty and AIDS. (Annual Goal $3,500) Mozambique Mozambique Ministry and Development . ............................42.30405 This project helps the church in Mozambique meet the needs of its fast-growing congregations and enables ministry to develop at every level. This means helping pastors with bicycles, supplying ministerial and building needs, and responding in the wake of the disasters that frequent this area, such as floods and AIDS. (Annual Goal $5,000) Rwanda Rwanda Leadership Development/Evangelism .........................42.30490 The church in Rwanda is reaching out to the different provinces and needs help equipping and mentoring its leaders. It also needs help in rebuilding churches and in developing leadership and structure. (Annual Goal $8,000) Sudan Sudan Church Schools ............................................42.30628 Funds will be used to purchase building materials and pay the builders. Schools are the place to teach the children, educating them and nurturing spiritual growth. (Annual Goal $15,000) Tanzania *Tanzania Babati Bible School ......................................42.30605 Babati Bible School is a three-year program for adult students that trains pastors to serve or plant churches throughout Tanzania. Average enrollment is twenty-five students. The school is staffed by Tanzanian teachers, who teach in the national language for maximum efficiency. (Annual Goal $9,000) 12 www.chogmissions.org
Ignite Permeate Free Cultivate Refresh Tanzania Evangelism . ............................................42.30607 This project supports evangelism programs at the national level of the Tanzanian church and also provides vital training through the theological education by extension programs to working pastors and lay leaders who are unable to attend school. (Annual Goal $4,000) Tanzania Theological Education by Extension (TEE) ....................42.30608 TEE provides theological education and training to working church leaders who are otherwise unable to attend Bible school. Students are self-motivated in their studies but regularly meet with other students for discussion and evaluation. (Annual Goal $5,400) *Tanzania Aldersgate School . ......................................42.40473 Aldersgate is the only Church of God academic school in Tanzania. It provides instruction from nursery school through high school for 850 students, 80 percent of whom live on campus. Aldersgate is raising the education level of Church of God laity thereby preparing future leaders and strengthening the church for years to come. (Annual Goal $105,000) Tanzania Tailoring School . ........................................42.40475 The tailoring school is a self-help ministry that equips Tanzanian women with practical skills in tailoring while ministering to their spiritual needs through regular discipleship ministry. Women who complete the training are able to open small businesses as well as provide for their families. (Goal $11,000) Tanzania Pastoral Continuing Education . ............................42.40476 These scholarships will enable Tanzanians to get college-level theological training through existing Bible schools of theology in Tanzania or through KIST in Kenya. (Annual Goal $4,000) Uganda Uganda Tumaini Aids Prevention Program (TAPP) . ....................42.30623 This social program assists families coping with HIV/AIDS, educates, encourages, and develops hope through seminars, home visits, skills, and small projects. (Annual Goal $14,800) Uganda Evangelism/Leadership Training . ............................42.30625 In order for the Church of God of E.A. to continue to grow and bring up future leaders with spiritual strength, there needs to be continual assistance and input to maintain a positive standard of growth. Materials and help to provide the means to evangelize is still very needed. (Annual Goal $7,000) Uganda Women’s Ministry/Church Schools . ..........................42.30626 Women are the core of the Ugandan church and are growing the church with their projects, seminars, and visitation. Schools educate children and nurture their spiritual growth. With 60 percent of the country fifteen years old and younger, we must reach out, and schools are a great place to make contact.
