Thus, it is easy to see that the<br />

flora in Sédhiou is rich. The<br />

lack of infrastructures prevents producers to expand their<br />

market across the Country. The poor quality of roads and<br />

bridges is a concern for the economy of the region.<br />

FAUNA<br />

The animal ecosystem is living an incredible change in the last<br />

few years. The climate irregularity caused the disappearance<br />

of some animal species and the escape of others. Thus,<br />

baffles, lions, panthers and ourebi moved to the eastern part<br />

of the Country in the region of Tambacounda. Tourists come<br />

to Sédhiou for only one reason: hunting. Many animal species<br />

are present for this purpose. There are the venison, such as<br />

the wild pig and the wild rabbit. Many birds such as: La Poule<br />

de roche, la Tourterelle Cap, la Pintade, Le Pigeon Vert, La<br />

Tourterelle Collier, La Tourterelle Mallier, Le Pigeon Ronier, Le<br />

Gangas, Le Francolin Commun<br />
