Note: a) Date <strong>of</strong> Birth – if the animal is <strong>of</strong> wild orig<strong>in</strong> then the date <strong>of</strong> its birth may be<br />

estimated and it is extremely important to <strong>in</strong>dicate when dates are estimated.<br />

b) Breed<strong>in</strong>g History- such details like delivery date, gestation period, no. <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong>fspr<strong>in</strong>gs, breed<strong>in</strong>g pair can be noted here.<br />

c) Remarks- such details like whether the animal is contracepted or not, if it is<br />

whether temporary or permanent, rear<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> the animal, whether parent, foster, hand<br />

or group reared. If one is unsure about the sire <strong>of</strong> the animal he/she can note down the<br />

most probable sires (any number) <strong>in</strong> this column.<br />

d) Write out dates e.g. 5 Jul 1992, to avoid confusion.<br />
