with the perceived colour quality. The other
lighting attributes (evenness, extensiveness,
brightness, and glare) formed only single
connections. At very low luminance levels,
perceived pathway brightness may form
stronger connections with perceived safety
and pleasantness than perceived colour
rendering. However, when the brightness
increases, it may lose significance and the
perceived colour quality of the light may
become a stronger indicator of pleasantness
and safety. Furthermore, the results of this
study as well as previous research indicate
that people perceive of fairly low CCT
lighting as being pleasant at low
illuminance levels.
