A person who through obstinacy neglects his/her sustenance duty or duty to pay<br />
maintenance toward any <strong>of</strong> the aforementioned parties who could thereby be rendered<br />
destitute shall be subject to [imprisonment for up to 1 year] or fines.<br />
It may be decided that guilt in accordance with the present Article shall be cancelled if<br />
the party who was wronged so desires.<br />
