A HANDBOOK FOR TEACHERS<br />

In summary, we believe that ICT enable teachers <strong>and</strong> students to construct<br />

rich multisensory, <strong>in</strong>teractive environments with almost unlimited teach<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong><br />

learn<strong>in</strong>g potential.<br />

From the learn<strong>in</strong>g-teach<strong>in</strong>g perspective, ICT should support:<br />

• access to onl<strong>in</strong>e resources that use a powerful comb<strong>in</strong>ation of video,<br />

text <strong>and</strong> graphics, prepared by specialists <strong>in</strong> a centralized facility <strong>and</strong><br />

delivered to <strong>in</strong>dividuals or groups by technology;<br />

• provision for the teacher to teach a whole class or part of a class, assisted<br />

by technology as appropriate;<br />

• provision for all students to learn the same way or to choose ways that<br />

suit their <strong>in</strong>dividual learn<strong>in</strong>g styles, assisted by technology as appropriate;
