2. <strong>The</strong> lay employee must be an employee for 1 continuous year before becoming<br />

eligible for UMPIP.<br />

3. <strong>The</strong> conference contribution will be twelve percent (12%) <strong>of</strong> the employee’s base<br />

compensation.<br />

4. <strong>The</strong> lay employee's required contribution will be 3% <strong>of</strong> the employee’s base<br />

compensation. Participants in the UMPIP must be participants in the<br />

UMLifeOptions.<br />

C. UMLifeOptions<br />

1. <strong>The</strong> UMLifeOptions plan is a death and disability plan for lay employees.<br />

2. UMLifeOptions is an employer funded plan and, as such, is required enrollment for<br />

all eligible employees.<br />

3. Employees are eligible after one year <strong>of</strong> employment working at least 20 hours per<br />

week.<br />
