Macro- cephalites und Pseudoperisphinctides are abundant. In contrast Chamoussetia, Cadoceras, Hecticoceras und Bullatimorphites are very rare: Macrocephalites macrocephalus (Schothheim), M. (Platystomaceras) sp., M. (Pleurocephalites) sp. (m), H. (Parachoffatia) cf./aff. mandani Spath, H. (Homoeoplanulites) furculus (Neumayr), H. (Homoeoplanulites) cf. lobatus (Buck- man), Proplanulites sp. (m), Proplanulites (Crassi- planulites) sp.. Locality: Häverstädt (Porta mine), bed 6c. densicostatus horizon: The fauna is dominated by Macrocephalites (40%) and Pseudoperisphinctides (45%). Kepplerites (10%) is frequent. Cadoceras and Proplanulites are rare: Macrocephalites macrocephalus (Schlotheim), M. (Platystomaceras) sp., M. (Pleurocephalites) sp., H. (Parachoffatia) funatus (Oppel), H. (Homoeoplanulites) cf. furculus (Neumayr), Choffatia (Subgrossouvria) sp., Proplanulites sp., Cadoceras sp.. Localities: Hildesheim (Temme Clay Pit, top of the Macrocephalen Beds); Luttern (Porta mine). hubblei horizon: Kepplerites hubblei n.sp. (MS) is small and densely ribbed (N > 33) on the last whorl. The Kepplerites are only 5 % of the fauna, other ammonites are Macrocephalites (Platystomaceras) jacobi Corroy, Macrocephalites cf. macrocephalus (Schl.), Cadomites westfalicus Mönnig & Beginski, Cadoceras aff. tolype Buckman, Homoeoplanulites (Parachoffatia) ssp., H. (Homoeoplanulites) ssp., Indosphinctes (Indosphinctes) sp., Choffatia (Choffatia) sp., Choffatia (Subgrossouvria) sp.; Proplanulites ssp., Proplanulites (Crassiplanulites) sp., Bullatimorphites (Bomburites) bombur (Oppel), Reineckeia quenstedti (Callomon et al.). Locality: Häverstädt (Porta mine), bed 6d. crassiruga horizon: Kepplerites becomes very rare, Macrocephalites is less common too. On the other hand there are abundant Pseudoperisphinctides and Proplanulites: Kepplerites (Toricellites) sp., Macro- cephalites (Platystomaceras) cf. jacobi Corroy, Homoeoplanulites (Parachoffatia) sp. H. (Homoeo- 118 planulites) aff. lobatus (Buckman), Indosphinctes (Indosphinctes)sp., Indosphinctes (Elatmites) graciosus (Siemiradzki), Choffatia (Choffatia) sp. nov., Proplanulites cf. ferruginosus Buckman, Proplanulites cf. rufus Buckman, Proplanulites cf. latus Buckman, Proplanulites (Crassiplanulites) sp., Oxycerites cf. subcostarius Oppel. Locality: Häverstädt (Porta mine), bed 7a. galilaeii horizon: The genus Kepplerites becomes abundant (60%): Kepplerites galilaeii (Oppel), K. (Gulielmina) sp., Macrocephalites ssp., Cadoceras sp., Homoeoplanulites (Parachoffatia) sp., Homoeo- planulites (Homoeoplanulites) sp. (thick variant), Chof- fatia (Choffatia) aff. recuperoi Gemmelaro, Choffatia (Choffatia) cf. cardoti (Petitclerc), Indosphinctes (Indosphinctes) patina (Neumayr), Indosphinctes (Elat- mites) ssp., Proplanulites (Crassiplanulites) crassi- costa Buckman, Oxycerites cf. subcostarius Oppel, Hecticoceras (Chanasia) sp., Parapatoceras calloviense (Morris), Chamoussetia sp., Bullatimorphites (Kheraiceras) sp.. Locality: Häverstädt (Porta mine), beds 7c-9. copernici horizon: The new species Kepplerites copernici n.sp. (MS) connects between K. galilaeii and Sigaalloceras calloviense. The fauna shows an in- creasing influence from the Submediterranean province: K. (Gulielmina) sp., Macrocephalites dicosmum (Gem- melaro) Macrocephalites gracilis Spath, Macro- cephalites (Platystomaceras) jacobi Corroy, Cado- ceras sp., Homoeoplanulites sp., Choffatia (Choffatia) aff. recuperoi Gemmelaro, Choffatia (Choffatia) cf. cardoti (Petitclerc), Indosphinctes (Indosphinctes) patina (Neumayr), Indosphinctes (Elatmites) graciosus (Siemardzki), Proplanulites (Crassiplanulites) crassi- costa Buckman (M), Proplanulites fulvus Buckman (m), Oxycerites cf. subcostarius Oppel, Hecticoceras (Chanasia) sp..
