<strong>Jurassic</strong>. Two 40 Ar/ 39 Ar ages of tuffs from the top of the<br />

Tuchengzi Formation <strong>in</strong> Beipiao were reported by<br />

Swisher et al. (2002) <strong>and</strong> Chang (2009) respectively.<br />

139.4±0.19 <strong>and</strong> 138.8±0.3 Ma <strong>in</strong>dicate age of the top of<br />

the Tuchengzi is already the Valangian of Early<br />

<strong>Cretaceous</strong>.<br />
