taking a cue from trail running footwear technology, the synapse is the<br />
first dedicated hiking shoe designed for natural motion. As runners and<br />
hikers approach mountain trails as their new sports field, they want<br />
lightweight footwear that is designed for fluidity on a variety of surfaces<br />
and terrain, providing cushioning and flexion.<br />
three key elements set the synapse apart from other hiking shoes<br />
on the market: Dynamic ride, Dynamic traction and Dynamic rolling.<br />
Dynamic ride is created by the lightweight and flexible cushioning of<br />
salomon’s Os (oversized) muscle and the rebound and energy return of<br />
the Os tendon.<br />
Dynamic traction is a combination of high-abrasion rubber compound<br />
and multi-directional lugs, designed to help maintain full contact with<br />
the ground for improved traction on any surface from scree to rock to<br />
soft ground and mud. Dynamic rolling is created by a lower heel drop,<br />
enhancing a natural motion helping to keep feet moving a little faster<br />
than they otherwise might.<br />
While the synapse is radical in terms of the midsole, outsole and ride, it<br />
is still all salomon. its upper is made with welded sensifit and Quicklace,<br />
providing precise fit, outstanding foothold and easy adjustment.<br />
