This course covers implementation and management of<br />
projects. Resource management, conflict management,<br />
negotiation, and advanced scheduling techniques are<br />
also covered. Also covered is the application of popular<br />
project management software applications. Typical<br />
project plans are developed and analyzed based on<br />
real-world projects.<br />

Project I and Lab<br />
Prerequisite(s): PDT-315; PMT-310<br />

Students must complete PMT 410 and<br />
PMT 499 in consecutive terms.<br />
Includes managing multiple projects and sharing<br />
resources on large, complex projects and prepares<br />
students to work on their Senior Project. The course<br />
focuses on the advanced skills in using project<br />
management software. Scheduling and managing<br />
multiple projects, managing sub projects, and sharing<br />
resources between multiple projects are also explored.<br />
Students will begin work on their senior projects.<br />
Projects will be completed in PMT-499.<br />

Prerequisite(s): PMT-410<br />
Students must complete PMT 410 and PMT 499 in<br />
consecutive terms. Students complete their senior<br />
project, begun in PMT 410, with the application of<br />
acquired skills and knowledge. Working as members<br />
of a project team, students solve a real world industry<br />
problem. Evaluation of student performance is shared<br />
between faculty members and industry representatives.<br />
The course enhances students’ skills using software to<br />
analyze, develop, measure and report on Senior Project<br />
activities and results. Students will have the opportunity<br />
to work with business and non-profit community<br />
organizations in the application of strategies to increase<br />
effectiveness of the organization through the use of<br />
computerized tools.<br />
