6.5 MiniSAS Cable Connection (For SAS)<br />

■ MiniSAS cable connection procedure<br />

The following explains how to connect the miniSAS cable.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

Procedure<br />

1 Connect the miniSAS cables to the <strong>ETERNUS</strong> <strong>DX60</strong>/<strong>DX80</strong>.<br />

Insert the miniSAS cable connectors in the controller 0 (CM#0) and controller 1 (CM#1)<br />

SAS ports.<br />

IMPORTANT<br />

• To help with miniSAS cable management and prevent incorrect<br />

connections, attach labels to the miniSAS cables and make a note of<br />

connection origins and destinations.<br />

• When connecting miniSAS cables, check the connector orientation and<br />

then firmly push it all the way in.<br />

When disconnecting miniSAS cables, use the pull-tab to extract the<br />

connector.<br />
