1.3.7 Security Functions<br />

The <strong>ETERNUS</strong> <strong>DX60</strong>/<strong>DX80</strong>/<strong>DX90</strong> possesses functions that allow numbers of volumes, that can<br />

be recognized by a server, to be expanded or restricted by adjusting how the logical units (LUN)<br />

seen by the host correspond to the volumes within the <strong>storage</strong> <strong>system</strong>.<br />

"LUN mapping function" and "Host Affinity function" are available as security functions.<br />

● LUN Mapping function<br />

LUN mapping is used to set the relationship between the logical units (LUN) of the host and<br />

the volumes of the device, on a per device port basis.<br />
