Checking Camera Status<br />
The icons that appear on the <strong>camera</strong> screen indicate the active <strong>camera</strong> and<br />
picture settings. See page 8 for a list of the icons.<br />
To check the current <strong>camera</strong> settings:<br />

Turn the Mode dial from the Off position.<br />
If is displayed in the status area, press<br />
the Flash/Status button to display additional<br />
settings.<br />
Press to redisplay the status information<br />

displayed in the bottom half of the Flash<br />
screen.<br />
Press the Shutter button halfway down<br />
when Liveview is on. Current aperture,<br />
shutter speed, and <strong>digital</strong> <strong>zoom</strong> values are<br />
displayed.<br />
Other icons temporarily disappear.<br />
