At this year’s Baselworld,
La Montre Hermès, the
Swiss-based watch subsidiary
of the famous
Parisian leather goods
firm, passed a milestone. It introduced
two new watches bearing the firm’s
first-ever proprietary movements, one
for men’s watches and one for women’s,
both with the same automatic base caliber.
The movements were designed by Hermès
and manufactured by Vaucher Manufacture
Fleurier, the Swiss movement producer
in which Hermès has a 25-percent
